A complimentary consultation appointment is provided to determine if we are good fit and if your needs can be met.
If we agree to continue, an invite to complete intake documents will be provided to you. Once completed, we will move forward with scheduling telehealth sessions starting with an intake session which can take longer than 1 hour. Subsequent sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes.

Informed Consent:
Telehealth Therapy can be used in a beneficial and effective manner that is on par with traditional face-to-face services. However, there can be some missed opportunities including limited ability to assess physical cues and gestures. In addition, there is the risk of technology failures including poor internet connection and equipment failure which can interrupt the quality of service provided. If such an issue presents during session, availably remedies will be offered including rescheduling of appointment if needed.
Confidentiality:
Telehealth services are provided using HIPAA compliant platforms and services provided in a secure environment. While every effort is taken to protect the privacy of your session, we cannot maintain the privacy of your session if you are not in a secure/private space to conduct your session. We ask that you prepare a space to enjoy your session with privacy.
Although services are provided throughout the state of Texas, there may be a time that you may see your provider in public. If this does occur, to protect your privacy no gesture or communication will be made.
Cancellation Policies:
In order to provide effective services, it is our policy that services are provided on a consistent mutually agreed upon schedule. If you are unable to meet as scheduled, please make contact to reschedule at least 48 hours prior to the appointment time. Failure to do so will result in late cancellation or no-show fees. Unfortunately, this policy is needed to protect valuable time and prevent loss of time that could be utilized helping other clients. If you do not communicate the need to reschedule, that appointment time is wasted and cannot be filled.
Insurance:
At this time we utilize Alma to bill all insurance plans listed except BCBS-TX. You will notice that Alma’s billing address and provider number is indicated on your explanation of benefits form. BCBS-TX clients will be billed through the electronic health record and will show the provider billing information.
Unfortunately to utilize insurance, there must be a medical necessity demonstrated at the time of service. While therapy is beneficial to most people, that does not always indicate that it is medically necessary. If medical necessity cannot be determined, services will be offered at the cash rate if you choose to continue services.
Using insurance does mean there will be a mental health diagnosis that will become part of your official medical record. If you would not like this to occur, you may choose to opt out of using your insurance and pay the cash rate.
